Scott NellisScott Nellis is an artist/illustrator who has just graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA(Hons) in illustration.  He works mainly with pen on paper and loves to create intricately detailed drawings on a fairly large scale.  The images, that are of quite a surreal nature, are based on themes that have been an effect on his personal life as well as themes that can affect all of our lives.  The themes have included issues such as experiences in the workplace, relationships, and more recently, issues regarding how we are subject to surveillance and montitoring.  Scott hopes to build a succsful career within the creative industries and is available for commissions.

4Wall

4Wall4WALL was founded by Sam Stubbings (of  The RGBs) in 2005 after he attended an exhibition of Black Convoy work in Jaguar Shoes. The show was exceptional but the group didn’t have a mechanism for commissions or even to buy the work and it was funded solely in the short term by the Arts Council. From that point he decided that he wanted to get the Convoy collective together with other leading artists and see if something could exist between a commercial enterprise and an exhibiting collective. The answer was that it could – and the instinct to refuse branded or briefed work paid off quickly, with London’s top agencies and creatives such as Barbara Hulanicki of BIBA, Chris Blackwell – founder of Island Records, Selfridges, and Stella McCartney respecting 4WALL’s artistic values and commissioning work. We stick to the belief that people not only get turned off by brands and traditional marketing, but that the smart companies are the ones that give people the authentic.
